Physical Growth
Given today’s growing childhood obesity and diabetes rates, children need daily reminders of how to live healthy lives. STEP Charter promotes this by:
- offering daily physical and health education to all grade levels
- also offering daily outside recess time to all grade levels
- providing 60 minutes or more of daily exercise
- providing healthy catered school breakfasts, lunches and afternoon snacks that use whole wheats, fresh fruits and vegetables
- providing an indoor gymnasium and a natural wood playground area for developing gross motor skills and a love for nature and the outdoors
